Astute trackside observers will have noticed that the two Aston Martin Valkyries sounded a bit different compared to each other at the WEC race at Imola, with the #007 car being a bit quieter and the #009 being louder.
Only Endurance asked Aston for the reason that the two sounded different, with a spokesperson saying they were 'trying different setups'. He declined to expand further.
That said, the Aston Martin spokesperson also confirmed that the Valkyrie crash at Spa-Francorchamps had 'no effect' on the team at Imola, with the reason for the 007 being quieter down to a 'different reason'.

Aston Martin, Porsche, and BMW were testing their Hypercars at the Belgian circuit, in advance of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race on Saturday 10th May.
The two Valkyries finished 17th and 18th at Imola, as Aston Martin and its factory partner team, The Heart of Racing, continues to learn and understand about the car.
Aston Martin will next compete with the Valkyrie on the weekend of May 10th-11th, at Spa in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and on the same weekend in the IMSA Sportscar Championship at Laguna Seca.
