The Peugeot 806 Procar that raced in the 1995 Spa 24 Hours is up for sale, currently listed for €57,500 on Racecarsdirect.com.
The Spa 24 Hours might be the annual GT3 festival, but it wasn't until 2001 that the legendary Ardennes enduro welcomed GT cars. Prior to that it was a touring car event, and even welcomed some incredible oddballs.

In just two months, a standard Peugeot 806 family van was converted by Belgian rally nuts Kronos Racing into a fully-fledged endurance racing machine.
Starting with a body and chassis sourced from Peugeot’s factory in Hauts-de-France, the 806 underwent an impressive upgrade plan, including the transplant of the 2.0L, 4-cylinder engine from the Group A 306 Maxi rally car and racing suspension and other parts from the 405 Mi16 and 406 Supertourisme touring cars.

But the incredible story doesn't stop there. The 806 went on to qualify 12th, yes P12, overall for the 1995 Spa 24 Hours, and third in the Procar category – unsurprisingly upsetting some of the other teams who entered more 'racetrack familiar' Astras, Civics and M3s.

Understandably the car (van) was a fan favourite, with driver Pascal Witmeur recalling 'Every time we went through Raidillon, people applauded.
'The public loved it because, apart from being unusual, it often ended up on two wheels.'
However the 806 would not see the checkered flag, retiring after 10 hours, but its impact on the Spa 24 Hours was secured. This truly is a one-of-a-kind racecar. Check out the ad for the sale details!
