The WEC has published an apology and issued discounts to customers after the FIAWEC.TV app suffered significant problems during the Qatar 1812KM.
The paid-for broadcast, which is available globally via the championship's app, had significant outages during the opening round of the season.
In a statement shared on social media on Friday, the championship apologised for the 'inconvenience and disappointment', but did not provide any explanation into the heavily interrupted coverage.

Thursday's knock-out LMGT3 qualifying session was almost entirely missed on the broadcast, with a large swathe of the pole position-deciding Hyperpole segment for the class also disrupted.
However the problems would not stop there as fans around the world would be unable to view the start, and almost the entire first hour of the race.
In response, the series is has made the 6H Imola free to fans who bought the Qatar single-race package, in addition to providing a 15% discount for season pack customers on the same option in 2026. Alternatively, a friend can use the discount code for subscribing for a season pass this year.
